Sack of Rubies is in Race 10 Saturday night at the BigM. 11:05 post.
MSW, 8.5 panels on the weeds.
She'll be fine, but I'll need the 10pm intravenous double espresso.

I like that filly's pedigree, GH. Good luck to both of us, mostly to stay awake. Are you going?

Ben, good luck to you as well and safe travels. We only have an hour and a half trip back home, but after midnight, it just seems longer... :P

No. I'll be at Turfway watching our Base Commander in the KY Cup Sprint, and late as that race is, I don't think I'll be able to get back in time to see her.

Good luck to your filly...if we don't win...I hope you do...

Good luck to both of you. Wouldn't it be neat to have a PQ exacta? 8)

Congrats Denise how wonderful, your filly broke her maiden. I looked up the result on the Meadowlands site. Was Galaxy Dancer not running?

Yes, EI, Galaxy Dancer scratched and left us to do battle with the rest!
It made the wait worth it, and the trip home a lot easier. She came out of it great. She and her brother have this heartstopping habit of making very late runs at the last minute, and seem quite proud of themselves when they get up in time. It was fun and poetic, because Rubies' dam won at the BigM for us the first time we ever started there.

Denise, that's great. We had not much luck today, our filly Mellanie ran unplaced in Germany, it was SOFT and when it is soft there, it is bottomless. The poor thing had topweight and just couldn't come through. I just hope she came out well and will be better next time.
Her 2yo sister Special Surprise ran first in the second 2yo classic this afternoon, she is unbeaten until now. So I had a good afternoon nevertheless. (we do not own her, but it is good for the black type).
I wish you lots of success with Sack of Rubbies and it seems she will be a diamond for you!

EI, sorry to hear about Mellanie. The soft going can take a lot out of horses.
Unfortunately, we have had so little rain here in the mid-Atlantic states the last month, our turf courses are like green concrete!
That's good to hear about the sibling, however: always important for the pedigree page.
Rubies and her brother Spider are truly jewels for us. :D Thanks!

Mellanie needs top of the top o,ground racing and not that heavy gooiing
yesterday, she lacks the power from the hindquaters that is required for these surfaces. Penometer gave 6.8 Firm is about 1.5 up to 2.5
Mellanie would suited in your area.
She came out all right and we are gooiing to race her on the sand in the winter time
