Sibling first time starter

Postby Denise » Tue May 06, 2008 11:58 am

Brother Sy, our 3yo. (kin to Spider and Charlotte) will make his first start this Saturday at the PHA, 7F on the dirt, MSW. We'll see. :o
Like his big bro and sis, he has a fondness for the weeds and a stride/feet to match, but has worked well over the main before.

No, but we did two foal shares with his former owner/breeder, Mr. Strawbridge, while Syncline was in KY. And our mare is now in foal to Syncline and Seebe's full brother, Rimrod, who stands in PA. Does that mean the babies will be full sibs and cousins?
The 2yo. in the queue is a lovely grey filly named Platinize.

ha! It almost seems like incest, but its not.. lol..
Syncline is at the farm I keep my horses at..
I was just wondering if you had shares in him also.
I will give him a carrot for you..

Oh, please do, Karie! We saw him when he was at Crestwood, and he was classy and elegant, very kind and a real gentleman. Tell him his kidlets are doing just fine back in Lancaster County.

Whew...3rd prize, nosed out of second. The track was "good", so our boy made a wonderful move at the 3/8ths pole, but got a bit tired from running in the deep dunes! :)
All in all, a terrific first start for the third in the homebred queue. He came out of it fine so far, and will be pointed for the lawn once turf season begins in earnest in PA.
Happy Mother's day to our wonderful "foundation" mare, Cozzy Rhythm, and her terrific kids, Spider, "Charlotte" (Sack of Rubies) and Sy.
