Re: Tevez.
Thank you everyone for your concern ,I think we all have suffered loss in this game at one time or another and it's never easy to swallow but I take comfort that the little guy is now pain free. Every day that things go to plan is a miracle to me and I am eternally grateful for any good fortune that comes my way.

Re: Tevez.
Scratched from his comeback race today at Fort Erie[ off the turf], not many opportunities around which is a shame as he loves cool weather and rain on the Tapeta surface at Woodbine. Working ok though.
Re: Tevez.
His works look good. Are you going to be able to get away and be there for any of his races? Any anti-racing nuts making waves about his age?
Who have you got at home waiting to get to the track now? Hope all is well.

Re: Tevez.
So sorry to see that he was claimed after a good result.
Re: Tevez.
Hoping it was a planned claim and Tevvy gets a great new set of connections while Wilf gets a purse + tag for the 11 yr old speedster. If not hope the chance to claim him back arises soon.
Re: Tevez.
I would imagine the claim came as kind of a surprise? Tevvy sure was good to you!
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Re: Tevez.
Entered June 11th at Fort Erie. 3k claimer on the turf.
Re: Tevez.
Good news. He's back with Justin Nixon in his own barn at Woodbine. Claimed back this afternoon after running 4th for a $16k purse. Whew!!! Crossed fingers all his 11 yr old horse issues are no worse for his time away.

Re: Tevez.
Hi there, it was always going to be a matter of time that I would get him back. This is not the first time that I had to re-claim him and he has been a great servant and fun horse to watch. I got him back from Capuano in great shape but after 11 sound years and a comfortable win in June he is now worse for wear by the look of yesterday's replay [ I'm in the U.K. currently]. I was worried that this might happen as the barn he went to is just a turnover factory. Anyway let's see how he fares back in his old stall and if he simply needs to retire. I was really looking forward to some fun this year as he had trained well and his attitude was great as reflected in his handy performance on june 11th. Anyway we shall see.Wilf.

Re: Tevez.
So glad to hear you got him back. I was worried that he might not come back ok. Looking forward to hearing more once you have an update on his condition. And I hope you are enjoying the trip to the UK!

Re: Tevez.
He is NOT in as good shape as he was when we lost him. My fears were sadly true.
Re: Tevez.
What kind of retirement job is he going to? Hopefully he'll enjoy and be comfortable doing it. It was a blast watching him and thankfully the replays are readily available. Congrats to you and Justin (and Melanie Pinto) for giving him such an extremely long and fun career.
