So is that back-to-back wins for her or just the first, Madelyn? Either way, congrats!

Re: Who's got runners?
Thanks! She has been knocking on the door for a long time and been, as one pal calls it, "a very peculiar horse". With top jock Perry Ouzts on her five previous starts no cigar it took a BUG making her 20th or so start to listen and not ever Hit her. She went wire to wire on a hand ride.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
Re: Who's got runners?
We picked up a really nice claimer yesterday at Sunland Park that we hope will be an asset with some careful management.
His name is Super Senor, and he's a 5YO gelded son of Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver (who also sired Runhappy). His dam is a multi-stakes winner/stakes placed daughter of El Gran Senor (Northern Dancer x Buckpasser daughter), out of a multiple stakes winner and graded stakes placed dam who set a NTR at Canterbury for 8+ furlongs.
He's been lightly raced, but has managed to hit the board in 8 of 14 starts, with three wins, including his debut at Sunland Park. This year he's made three starts with a win, a 2nd (yesterday) and a 5th place. Our trainer also trained his full brother, Super Accord, and he did quite well, hitting the board in 13 of 25 starts with 9 wins.
We've been scouting for just the right horse for a while, passed on several and lost the shake on one, but I think this guy was a good claim and has some potential to improve his record. Time will tell. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Who's got runners?
Ageecee, I hear you, but Sunland and Zia Park actually have the better purses in our circuit. One factor is it doesn't cost nearly as much to run a horse out here as it does back east or on the west coast. We did okay with Endless Thyme. She more than paid her bills and rarely started for a purse that was more than $10k. Of course, she also never finished off the board for us in the year we co-owned her. She came to us with a win at Churchill Downs and two back-to-back wins at Belterra, but other that those, not a stellar record.

Re: Who's got runners?
Super Senor ran his first race for us at Sunland Park yesterday and came in a solid 2nd with a pretty strong move on the turn. Although he was a good 2-1/4 lengths behind the winner, he was also 1-1/4 lengths ahead of the 3rd place finisher and giving indications he still had some gas in the tank if the race were a bit longer. Overall we're very pleased with his performance.
Here's the video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/jYRXyayWMl4
We were able to meet our boy in person on Sunland Derby Day (along with Chasing Yesterday and Bob Baffert and family--quite an honor) and he is very much a gentleman and much better looking than his photos.

Glad he's a gentleman, but you've only seen your boy in photos? Just kidding I think you meant Baffert.
Congrats on a nice first out!!

Re: Who's got runners?
Yup, Madelyn, we'd only seen him in photos/videos prior to Sunland Derby day. Our trainer did the visual check on Super before we claimed him. Sunland is an 8-hour drive round trip, so we don't get down there often.

Re: Who's got runners?
Just an update. Since picking up Super he's run two 2nds and one clunker 5th. Hey, they keep sending us checks and we're glad to take them.
He's heading to Albuquerque now, where he's only run once and lost by a neck. Hopefully he'll take to the track for the summer meet.

Good luck with him Zia!
Re: Who's got runners?
My boy has been back in training a little over a month now. Here's hoping he's done throwing us monkey wrenches and can get down to running.
Re: Who's got runners?
Better luck this time, mehile!
Miss Pinkerton has won again, this past Saturday. I also sent out Belgian Candy on Friday and nabbed the win in her fifth lifetime start.
