San Juan Capistrano H. [G2]

Postby LSB » Thu Apr 14, 2005 2:05 pm

Stanley Park is entered to run in the San Juan Capistrano H. [G2] on Saturday at Santa Anita. This is a turf race that's a whopping mile and three quarters long.

Unfortunately Stan has lost his great jockey from his last race--Gary Stevens is currently over here in Kentucky and will be on Spanish Chestnut in the Bluegrass S.[G1] at approximately the same time. Jose Valdivia gets the ride instead.

Here's hoping he gets as good a trip as he did last time. :)

I like these kind of races, and this kind of distances very much, especially
with fullgrown horses and no babyracing
So all the best, you possibly can get.

Well he got a good ride and ran a pretty good race and ended up 4th as the high weight in the field. So he picked up some money, but no more black type. Hopefully he came out of the race all right and will get another try soon. :)
