Vestal Heights is entered at Dortmund (ger) next thursday, running in
ninth race draw box 7. 10 furlong handicap on turf. If nothing bad is happening in the mean while
She came out perfectly well sunday a week ago catching up condition.
She should be within the first two, as this is her distance and the raceconditions are in her favour. The weatherforcast is terrible bad, so haven,t decided whether to go or not. about 165 miles up and 165 miles
back again.
Crossing my fingers for a safe and sound return of the game filly.

That's a long drive in bad weather. Do you have a chance to watch the race on television? It's not the same as being there though. Wish her well.

After driving up and late back again with my son, who kept me awake
the last our while driving. He is 10. And having hollydays.
I saw the worses trip she ever got.
After the start she was imidiatly in a traffic jam a couple in front and between 2 horses that pushed her out, the track was good but soft in places. Losing her action a couple of times finishing at the back. Came out with several rather deep scratches at her near front on the outside just above the knee.
Before the race I went to see her, and she was totally relaxed, what is not
normal with her as she is always on her toes before a race, and kicks you gently out of the stable, or not so gently.
Maybe she will be in season within one or two days. Just very disapointing.
It just one big question. Returning home she ate up everything, as well as this morning

Sounds like it just wasn't her night. Keep your spirits up by knowing you will see better from her next time.
