Shake On It's first foal won another race today. I sold him at age three when he was too slow to bother training further. Thankfully, he still sends me checks regularly through the accredited OK-bred program. His name is Motion Approved, a 5yo gelding by With Approval. He won by five lengths as the odds-on favorite in an allowance race today at a mile on the dirt at Will Rogers Downs at Claremore, OK. He likes cheap company, but it's still good to know that Shake's only runner thus far is a multiple ALW winner.
Her 3yo filly Wordplay (by Alphabet Soup) is prepping for a Prairie Meadows season as an Iowa-bred.
All are in the database with pictures.

Motion Approved raced again today as a co-favorite among some tough stakes and allowance horses in an open allowance at Will Rogers Downs. He carried high weight and spotted all the others four pounds. He ran well and just missed second by a neck, but the winner won by 1 1/4 lengths. Sheik of Wagoner won, followed by Mercenary, Motion Approved, and George Taylor. In their last out, Mercenary won with George Taylor second. George Taylor is a previous winner of the Oklahoma Classics Classic, a $100,000 race.
It looks like this boy is getting better with age, as he's five now. He was a crooked little newborn chestnut colt five years ago on May 2nd, but now he's a pretty gray and seems sound. He has had twelve starts, for about $41,000 in earnings, and 3 wins, 2 seconds, and 3 thirds.

I'm loving it!
It's like watching grandkids play and being glad they get to go home with their parents and not me!
And my risk is ended
, for money lost, for poor decisions, for vet and insurance and training bills. Whoo!
I had no idea this mating would bring about a late-bloomer. With Approval was a Canadian Triple Crown winner at three. Mama had EPM at two, but had trained forwardly until that point, so I expected an early-bird.
