A New Year

Postby Roguelet » Fri Apr 28, 2006 7:53 am

For those of you who may have watched our filly, War Proposal, in the past, she's ready for her first race of the year. She's in tomorrow night at Indiana Downs. Race 9, post time after 10:00 PM. I HATE the late races but it seems that's where we always end up.

She's the one who absolutely hated the polytrack surface, so after several unsuccessful attempts at racing her there this winter, she had a break instead. We could not get her into the races we wanted last year at Indiana Downs or Hoosier Park, then she hated poly, so it's been a disappointing time for us lately with her. Hopefully this will be a better year.

This won't be an easy race and I don't know if she's up to 100% yet after her winter vacation, but we'll see what happens. Morning line 10-1... not too impressive.

Great to get her back up and running! :D Hope she runs well, earns a purse, and learns something.

She was a dead heat for 4th in her last race... our very first dead heat ever! (Wish it would've been for the win, but Oh well...)

War Proposal is in again Tuesday... short allowance. I think she needs to go long but this is, I think, a "test race." We've switched trainers and she's now stabled at the track instead of training off the farm, so we'll see what her frame of mind is like and the new trainer can get a feel for her, then we'll adjust from there.

Of course, she may be swimming around the track.

Hopefully it turns out good the switching of trainers
