It is one of the NSA's highlight meets of the year, and the weather is supposed to be perfect. Hope we've recovered from winning all those Derby card exotics...and guess I have to root for a DH.

Well, not exactly. We have two horses in the same heat, but it's a marathon, 16F on the turf at Winterthur, DE, neither is undefeated, and one's a 9yo. gelding and the other, a 5yo. mare.

All right, Denise!
It makes you feel like a big operation, doesn't it? I remember I had my second set of silks made when I had two horses ready to race at once. We actually used them both one day, when my maiden boys Escape Route and Minstrel of York got 1st and 3rd in my silks at Turf Paradise--1997. Great day!
That's the only time I needed both for the same race; now they just alternate them as needed. But it has happened multiple times that I had horses running at two different tracks on the same day; and I've never had more than four race-ready at once.

Hey Rocking H
I know exactly what you mean. We have a couple of partnerships, too, and we have had the issue of two different runners in two different places an hour apart, but we've never had an "Entry."
The hardest part will be rooting them both home equally!

Okay day
Well, our old gelding was gimpy this morning (he knew what was up, I think), so we scratched him, and our mare ran a very credible third, losing to two decent boy horses. 2 miles over those hills was a heckuva tightener for her. She cooled right out and couldn't have blown out a candle.
