I'm researching a 1973 filly's pedigree whose sire is listed as *Shady Street. She horse was bred in Alberta, Canada, so I'm guessing Shady Street probably stood in Canada.
There are two Shady Streets from that era listed on Pedigree Query and, oddly, both have the same sire listed (different dams). One was from Great Britain and the other from Australia. The Australia version seems to have been a very good racehorse.
Does anyone know if either of those Shady Streets ever ended up in Canada or the US?
Thanks for any info!

I just looked up Shady Street's race record, and it appears he won 5 of 55 starts - no stakes wins or placings. And while one of his eleven siblings won one stakes (Sparkling Cloud, Irish Cambridgeshire H.), none seem to have done anything to mark Shady Street as a potential sire.
Is there anything anyone sees in his pedigree to make one say, "No wonder they stood him!," or does it seem he might have been someone's imported backyard stallion? Maybe that Cambridgeshire H. was a bigger race than it sounds like?
Thanks again for any info!
