Hi,

Your only hope for a winner's circle photo is from

Sept. 19, 1997 at Woodbine in Toronto

and you "might" be able to get a small picture of him in racing action by purchasing the winner's circle shot of another horse named "Red Classic" from April 4, 1998 at Aqueduct, NY.

That other horse won by a nose and your horse was second, hopefully on the outside and in the picture.

Hello again,

The internet reveals the following with regard to Tall Oaks Farm.

from:

you can read:

Runnaway Mon - Ivan Dalos

Born in Budapest, Hungary, on March 18, 1942, Ivan Dalos was first introduced to racing by a friend in 1986, eventually becoming a partner in some claiming horses.

It wasn’t an immediate success. “Our first horse finished 27 lengths back in last place in my first time as an owner,” recalled Dalos, a partner in a Toronto-area construction business that installs wood flooring. “That one was a total disaster, but I think we’ve improved from there.”

Fillies that were retired from the racetrack became the foundation of Tall Oaks Farm breeding operation, which is a farm in name only. “I knew nothing about racing and breeding when we claimed our first filly, but I’ve tried to educate myself in every way I can,” said Dalos, after homebred Victory Gallop’s nose victory in the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes in 1998. “I was looking for another interest beyond my business and now I think of racing and breeding as something to continue when I retire. I do this for fun.”

His Fly for Avie, a $14,000 purchase in 1997, went on to enjoy a prosperous career, including a victory in the 2000 E.P. Taylor Stakes on the turf at Woodbine, nosing out European filly Lady Upstage and New York-based Innuendo in a three-horse photo to win the Grade 1 event. Her final time was 2:02.78.

Dalos, along with his wife, Irene, have three daughters: Michelle, Colleen and Sue.

Theirs is a significant breeding operation, what with having already bred an American Classic winner, but for more info on your horse you should use those names and do some detective work and send correspondence to them. Maybe they can trace someone who may know more about your horse. As I read there, you will not find an actual farm in Canada called "Tall Oaks Farm". The names to research and contact are there, however.

If the man runs a Toronto area construction business that installs wood flooring, then you can likely get an e-mail to him with a bit of research.

give it your best shot !!
