I can't help with the photos, but do you know where he is? He's gone missing.

Looking today at the "grey pages" in the back of The Blood Horse stallion register, we can see how far from grace some of our major sire lines have fallen and Bois Roussel's line through *Gallant Man is no exception. Only the very fast - and very tough - Momsfurrari - joins Demons Begone as a possible conduit through which *Gallant Man and his beautiful lineage can live on. But even Momsfurrari's heritage may be lost, the 1984 son of Elocutionist was last listed in stallion directories for 2004 as standing at Pyaar Acres in Lexington. His name vanished from 2005 and 2006 editions, and a phone call to Pyaar Acres was not returned.

Wasnt this horse raced by sportscaster Jim McKay and his wife? Memory could very well be slipping but seem to remember this horse racing for them way back when....

Memory did slip, horse I was thinking of was Seans Ferrari....

I find dead ends everywhere. No reference to McKay.

I found a Program someone had listed in a private auction as
1409 05/19/90 Arlington..The Johnny Morris Handicap..Clever Trevor, Dispersal A
Momsfurrari, Affirmed's Image, Be A Agent, Timely Writer............MINT

Might still be available. I don't know anything about Derby Doug, but here's his site with contact: http://members.aol.com/derbydoug/auction.htm

The last that I knew of, he was pensioned in Kentucky. I may be going up there in a few weeks. If he's still there I'll try to get some photos of him.

Hi
I have some info for you. I have a broodmare by moms furrari, and she has has 3 foals thus far and is due again in 6 weeks. I also was looking for pics of him a few years ago, when I first got her. I called Pyaar acres and spoke to the stallion manager/owner about him. He was retired and about to get Gelded. He said there were no photo's in any advertizing of him because he was Butt ugly. My mare is no looker i can tell you that. But throws lovely very correct foals. Her first foal is registered black and is called R social butterfly. She will get her first start this year. she is currently in training at woodbine. Moms furrari is reg a dark bay. but the manager of Pyaar Acres said he was black. I can believe it because of my foal out of a chestnut mare. The only thing I would suggest is trying to get a win photo of him from a track. Good luck and let me know if you find anything.
