The Rhymer

I am looking for any information on The Rhymer, foaled 1938, by St. Germans.
Does anyone know where he stood stud, what year he died, and where he is buried?
Thanks

Not sure, but, per research, he did sire stakes winner Vertex, sire of Derby winner Lucky Debonair. Avalyn Hunter's "American Classic Pedigrees" said he was a "poor foal-getter."

The only stud listing I could find for him was for 1953, when he was standing at Pistorio Farm in Ellicott City, Maryland, for a $500 fee.

Per the 1958 American Racing Manual, The Rhymer was still standing at the above farm. The 1960 AMR has no listing for him at that farm. By the time the 1965 AMR was published, the number of racers sired by him racing that year was down to 4.

I suspect that around 1958-9, he was through in one manner or the other.

This is just a little bit of information. He was a victim of pneumonia early in life so almost didnt make it. He was the first horse to recieve a blood transfusion. He recovered but was unable to race until he was 3. He won the Widener Challenge 1942. He was looked down on by big money racers but proved to be a good winner. (Turf & Sport Digest 1942)
