One of my favorite old horses. A friend of mine used to rub him at the track, and a local farm (The Farm at Saratoga) initially stood him at stud.
He's a full to Tactical Advantage, if I remember correctly - a nice, handsome chestnut stallion.
He won on a Saratoga undercard on a very important race day. He always tried very hard, even though he had soundness issues. He needed time off, but didn't get it, and his ankles eventually ended up having MAJOR issues (he probably still doesn't walk/run soundly? He sure didn't at The Farm at Saratoga - he could barely walk some days).
But he was a kind, talented horse with lots of potential. We would have loved to see what he could have done if only given more time.
I looked him up on Brisnet last year but didn't see any foals listed for a few years, so I assumed his legs finally became too much for him. I'm so glad to hear he's doing well (or at least that he's producing good horses). I hope that he's still around.
I'm knee-deep in the Saratoga meet, but after it's over I'd be happy to post shots of him. I've got his race win, him at the farm, and such.
Thanks so much for the update!
