Pedigree Query

I have an off track TB that I have had for two years now. He was a rescue so I have absolutely no information about him except what the previousowner called him.

His tattoo can hardly be made out. It is L 4 _ _ _ which means he was born in 1982. His previous owner called him Winky. I have since renamed him to Copper.

He jumps anything you point him at and I believe he must have done some fox hunting and of course, raced.

He is about 15.2 hands tall, came from Ohio and is a golden bay with two white socks, snip and a star.

Any info at all would be awesome!

Without a legable tatt, we can't offer much help. Could the rescue provide you with information about where he was seized from, or donated by? Sometimes even a name or farm is able to be googled. But you did a wonderful thing by providing this old warrior a home.

The easiest way to read an old tattoo is with a black light.
