Info on Argentinian female family Potri Bay

Postby Jessi P » Sat Jan 19, 2008 7:25 pm

Looking for some info on the Arg side of Dr Zi's pedigree, just out of curiosity.

Anyone know Potri Bay, POTRILLAZO (broodmare sire) with following the info on this site :

--------------
12 Starts: 7 - -

Gran Premio Nacional (Arg-G1) Argentine Derby 2500D Gran Premio Copa de Oro (Arg-G1) 2400T Clasico Eduardo Casey (Arg-G2) 2200D Clasico Coronel Martinez (Arg-G2) 1800D Clasico Mariano Moreno (Arg-G2)

In Argentina: Horse of the Year & Champion 3yo Colt-1985; Stallion of the Year-1992.Died,2000.
---------------
Anyone with APR info on Bally Bay, Corselette, who were USA foals?

The pedigree is at http://www.pedigreequery.com/dr+zi

Thanks for any and all help/info, it is much appreciated. I am still trying to figure out why this fellow still has his cajones.

Maybe this will help understand the previous post:

Madre = dam
ganadora/ ganador = winner
2da madre = 2nd dam
carreras = races
solo disputo 3 carreras = only run three times
3ra madre = third dam
campeona 3 anos = 3yr old champion filly
incluso = including
abuela = grand-dam

Thank you La T and George! I missed this post last night before bed. Good thing my spanish is pretty darn and I had George's help or I would have been in trouble. :P

One thing i am having a hard time with - some names are in all caps, while others are in regular upper and lower case. I know Turkish Blazer should be black type, as should Corselette. I am confused! Any ideas? Is it just a difference between US style catalog pages and the Argentinian way of doing it?

And I am still wondering why they left the cajones on this fellow... :lol:

I don't think the Argentinian catalogues work the same way with the uppercase letters...I don't think it means anything.
