Japan Race Record?

Postby Roguelet » Fri Dec 12, 2008 1:10 pm

How can I find the race record of a horse in Japan? The horse is 1998 Seek Splendor.

Thanks!

I can't tell what about the race record you would like.

This data is NOT guaranteed to be complete as would the U.S. records.

What I have is that Seek Splendor was born in May of 1998, he raced 13 times, all in Japan, and won once, in his first start, on July 7, 2001 at Fukushima.

1 win
1 second
2 third

U.S. earnings $270,481

and no, that record isn't likely to be accurate...

My next guess is googling the name of the dam, Kagayaki, and maybe getting lucky somewhere with actual complete record (or at least earnings) for the horse.

There does seem to be some updated info via Google.

One number for earnings I found was $291,141 U.S.

3 total wins, the last of which is mentioned above. Don't know how many starts.

Anyway, use Google "advanced search" and have "Seek Splendor" in the phrase box, and Kagayaki in the require these words box.

Thanks, Jimble! Here's what I have on APR:

IN JAPAN 7 23 3 1 4 423,227

So, maybe that is Japan $ and the $291,141 is US $? I don't know how all of that works. I thought $423,227 was pretty good earnings for 3 wins, so I was wondering if the horse ran in any blacktype races in Japan. He's not blacktype on the APR, but again I don't know how that translates from Japan to US records...

Anyway, thanks so much for checking it out for me!
