Here are his official records for 1974 1976 and 1977

Year BRD Mounts Wins Seconds Thirds Unplaced Win% ITM% ROI Earnings
Total ALL 593 66 69 74 384 11 35 0.0000 113,026
1977 ALL 261 25 24 30 182 9 30 0.0000 48,192
1976 ALL 332 41 45 44 202 12 39 0.0000 64,834

1974 248 26 22 14 186 42,085

Officially, he did NOT ride Thoroughbreds in 1979... (nor at any time after 1977)

He was born in 1951 in Puerto Rico

Any idiot could obtain Miguel Monge's Social Security Number, and while it is right in front of me here, I am not going to post it on the web.

I do know that he got said number in New York in 1967.

1979 was a typo... should have been 1977.

I will pass this info on to his daughter... thanks.

Not sure where the stats came from, but he certainly rode at Commodore in 1975 - I saw him. Maybe the records from there were lost for that year.

For clarity, I did not profess to be offering all-inclusive statistics there.

1976 and 1977 were easy to get, and I just happened to be looking at a 1975 Racing Manual, (which had 1974 statistics, so I added those too).

No doubt this guy didn't come to New York in 1967 to run a hot dog cart in Central Park, or to hang out at O.T.B. every day, so maybe it is a fair guess that he got into race riding well before 1974... and with it, a fair guess that I wasn't pretending to include his lifetime statistics.

And I did catch the "1979" part... I was just trying to offer what I could.

Assuming the daughter knows the man's S.S.N., if he's still alive. (if not, of course, anybody could know it)

(well, I mean, in HIS particular case ~and that of all U.S. jockeys in the 1970's or before~ 'anybody' can know it, regardless of whether they're alive or not)
