Hi there,
I'm hoping to find some information about my horse Triple Jim (95)-especially pictures! I'll be so grateful for any information you can send me about him!
Thanks so much!

Hi Karen,
I am pressed for time right now but can tell you that Triple Jim raced until Dec. 17, 2004, and that he won 18 races, surely all of which would likely have win photos available.
He won his first on March 14, 1988 at Sam Houston Race Course in Houston, TX.
You might also opt for the picture of Feb. 15, 2001 also at Sam Houston.
He won by a long way that day so the action photo might be fun to see.
I can list the others for you when I have more time.
Hope this is a start for you, and let me know what more you want.
his record was 18-16-10 out of 85 starts for $124,659

Thanks for this info! So, would you happen to know how and who to contact in Houston to get the photos?
Hate to be a bother! But, I'm ever so grateful!
Thanks!

The best thing to do is to contact the racetrack itself and ask for the contact information for the track photographer. Usually you can order the photos from the track photographer.

You could start on their website.

So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Hi,
The track's website is www.shrp.com...
then look in the lower right corner under "About SHRP"
then look to "contact us"...
and one assumes that "Coady Photography" is the right direction to send your e-mail.
They should be able to help you with specifics.
FYI OTHER dates of his wins at Sam Houston are as follows:
Feb. 14, 1999
April 8, 1999
Feb. 17, 2000
Feb. 15, 2001
Feb. 25, 2001
Mar. 31, 2001
Dec. 15, 2001
Dec. 26, 2002
Mar. 23, 2003
Mar. 26, 2004
He also won at other tracks around Texas.
I have a strange instinct that it would be fun to get the photo from Manor Downs, Texas from May 11, 2003 win there. That task may not be easy but the picture would be somewhat unique.
Maybe a Texas horse person will kindly tell us which track(s) there have the most attractive winner's circle pictures.
I suggest getting something from Sam Houston first and then trying for more later.

Why would that win be so interesting? I'm curious now!
You obviously know MUCH more about my horse than I do!
Thanks so much!

Manor Downs is an OLD TX track that persisted through Texas' non-parimutuel days (~1937-1986). It's only had TB racing since the track was expanded (to 7.5f) in '02. The facilities were improved at the same time (there was LOTS of room for improvement). At any rate, Manor's not quite the 'bullring' it once was.
