Summer Matinee

Summer Matinee.

I see she placed third in the Churchill Downs Breeders' Cup. Can any one tell me the date and year of that race or any others that she placed in?

1991. Same year she won the Gardenia S., and placed in the Ladies H. and Fantastic Girl H. As for non-bt, she had a win at 2, and three other wins, as well as another place & two shows over the four years she raced, but I can't tell when from her APR rcd. - sorry.

August 17, 1991 she won the Gardenia Gr. three at Ellis Park


Nov. 24, 1991 at Aqueduct she was 2nd beaten a neck in the Gr. two Ladies Hcp

July 25, 1991 she was 2nd in the Fantastic Girl at Hol

JimbleBrimble,

As you provide such a wealth of detailed information (I am always duly impressed), do you have any idea of Summer Matinee ever ran, but was unplaced, in any NY stakes - especially Saratoga?

Firstly, she never did run at Saratoga, and only ran in NY twice, only one in a stakes, as mentioned up above.

She was a California runner before shipping east for the second half of her career.
