horse that I was part owner in

Postby pleasantcolony » Mon Apr 10, 2006 2:51 pm

I am looking for any information on a horse that raced in Florida. His name is Cutaway. He is a 1996 gelding by Farma Way/Annies Edge (Al Nasr). He is an Illinois bred. He was trained by Harry Laflamme (I may be wrong on the first name but not the last name). I had some shares in him then our syndicate sold him and he has seemingly fell under the radar. I am not sure what has happened to him but would love to know if anyone can help me locate him. He was the first horse that I ever owned a share in and it would mean alot to me to find out what happened to him.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can tell you that he finished his career with the undistinguished record of 4 wins out of 73 races.

Last race was December 28, 2003 at Calder.

Last known owner/trainer during race career was Louisa Acuna.

He only won once in his last 41 races.

Hi JB,

Please can you put this info in his ped on this site, earnings too if you have them. Thanks. :D

And for my 2 cents . . .he must have been a pretty sound horse, and probably a real tryer . . . and I would guess a fun horse to have around.
Hopefully he is enjoying a retirement that he richly deserves.

I would like to thank you JB for the info on Cutaway and thank you Tairaterces for the kind words of encouragement. I HOPE AND PRAY that he is leading a great life in retirement somewhere but in the back of mind I can't help but think the worst.
Does anyone know anything about the last known trainer Louisa Acuna?
