SWAP THE THRONE

Postby Canada Sam » Fri May 12, 2006 9:04 am

Hello:

Does anyone have any race info or history on my beloved "Sam". Sam (Swap The Throne) was born 1981 is a chestnut (now gelding) by Vice Regent and out of Too Fussy.

I'd be curious to know how long he raced and how he did. I got him as a "dressage prospect" as a 13 year old and he's still going strong at 25. I believe he was at stud for a period of time as well.

Terrific horse although truthfully a bit hotter than your average dressage horse but much loved nonetheless!

I believe he spent time with Mac Cone as a speed jumper as well.
Thank you.

Thank you for any information - much appreciated.

I'm one of those crazy people who adores TBs for dressage!!!! My Sam is nearly everything you could want, floats in trot and canter, quick to learn, sound and tough as they come ..... I'd just like to gear down the "hotness" factor a degree or two in my next TB. He's so quick to anticipate things and gets fizzy pretty quickly that's the only downside as a dressage horse - likely didn't matter racing I'd guess.

Are the Vice Regents known to be particularly "hot"?
