Yea, it should although they could all present a little differently. Just a thought but probably not the answer. Good luck and hope next year's baby is a knockout!

Allou aborted a Street Cry foal at 11 months - no sign she was ready to go (per the farm anyhow) and it was her first foal. It was heartbreaking. All of our vets have suggested keeping her on Regumate throughout her pregnancies which we have done since and we've had no trouble. I figure the cost of the meds is well worth it and the vets have all agreed so who am I to argue. Best to make sure she doesn't have any infection and/or urine pooling before trying to breed her back though. Best of luck with the next foaling season. (PS I too thought of the pasture grass - don't know if it makes a difference if a maiden mare is on it and the other mares have been on it before or not :?: )
