I THINK I GOT IT - NEW PICS - BIRDSTONE, SCRIMSHAW AND TAPIT
Okay, we'll try this again, hopefully you will be able to see the pictures this time. Let me know what you think of them. The two colts will be going to the November Keeneland sale and the Tapit filly will be going to the January sale - she's as big as the boys - they are March foals and she is a May foal - is this good or bad? Would love your opinions on them - many thanks! Sorry they are so big (the pictures NOT THE FOALS!) - I tried making them smaller but haven't figured that out yet. Finally got the photobucket to work again

The third one is by far my favorite. Is he the Birdstone? Love his "eye" and his overall angles and balance.
I assume the skinny gray one is the young Tapit filly. She just looks immature. Pretty face!
Middle horse looks nervous, and immature. His profile shot is not well-positioned, but he seems to have a short back and long pasterns. I suspect he'll be a late bloomer and maybe better on grass and distance.
Tell us what the breeding is on each--sire and dam. Maybe that will help us assess a sales potential value for them. From what I've seen that buyers like in weanlings at Keeneland November is that precocious solid foals from speedy sires sell the best; underdeveloped foals from unproven sires sell poorly. Pinhookers are always there, looking for the ones that look like they'll be good yearling prospects, and aren't yet "ripe".

Sorry henthorn - I should have checked to make sure the "names" copied (which of course they didn't).
Top two pics: Tapit filly out of McCaskill (Copelan out of Bally Bis).
Middle two pics: Scrimshaw colt out of Laird's Honor (Honor Grades out of Laird's Cup).
Bottom two pics: Birdstone colt out of Anna K. (Boston Harbor out of On The Tree Top).
Yep, the filly is a late bloomer and that is why she is going in January (if then). She is tall but is very narrow but McCaskill appears to throw that and then they "sprout". She had a Yes It's True colt RNA in July at Keeneland for $120K, her two year old this spring at OBS had the fastest workout at 3 furlongs and is racing is PR. I believe his owners are using him for a rabbit for their other race horses. Unfortunately she hasn't had any hit the board.
The Scrimshaw colt DOES NOT cooperate when getting his pics. Will walk fine and let you do anything to him (except trim his feet then he'll try to lay down). He is pretty spunky but not nearly as spunky as the Birdstone colt. Farm manager came and saw him and liked him (but that was in July). He was a real terror during weaning. Farrier said when he was a few months old we ought to geld him that he was acting too studdish for someone his age. This is his dam's first foal.
The Birdstone colt is a pistol most of the time - he is more compact but has a nice rear end. His face is really sweet and he is a gentleman when having anything done to him. But when he is out in the field, the mom's and other foals better look out! This is his dam's first foal.
Thanks for your input. I'll be requesting breeding suggestions for these mares and others in the near future.
