A colt!! Okay, I'm a Grandma! <lol>

Angel had her foal in the night, a colt, found him early this morning when I went out to feed. Got a good look at him in the daylight.....he's very long-haired right now, but appears to be a very very pale buckskin....like buttermilk even. His mane and tail, however are reddish....like strawberry blond almost. He has a white star, goodish size, bigger than a half dollar and one white rear sock. (Mom has the same sock on the same foot)
The vet was very impressed with the colt, and said he is HUGE and very correct. I thought so too, so was relieved to hear Dr. Herrero say it! He's nursing like an old pro and has absolutely NO fear. Came right up to me, and to the vet like "Who are you?" I can tell he's going to have tons of personality. Can't wait to watch him develop.
The really weird thing? When my alarm went off at 5:30 this morning, I was dreaming about the foal....and he looks just like the one in my dream. In the dream, his barn name was Erik (of all things), and I sold him for $7500. I told you it was weird! So, his barn name IS Erik now, but his registered name will be Hollywood something, haven't decided just what yet. Maybe Dreaming of Hollywood!
Pictures definitely to come. I promise! I'm just so excited, I can't tell you. After that sad mishap with the first foal, today is just the biggest thrill ever.
