Silly Question
Please bear with this newbie to babies!
But I have a rather strange question. Our new foal is a colt...and a beautiful one I might add. But is it normal for colts to constantly have their little penises out? Every time I see him, it's dangling....and it's purple.... and my kids giggle.....

Ha! Well, I have experience with human males that are that way!! But not colts. None of those symptoms, though. He urinates fine, no drainage, and doesnt appear to be sore. Vet said both his testicles dropped, if that makes a difference. I guess he's just a normal GUY then! Whew.

Rest assured......we breed quite a bit and it never ceases to amaze me how many little peeps I see when making the rounds! This is especially common in the first month, after that you should not see it quite as often. I have seen the boys do it while turned out with mom but it is MUCH more common while in their stalls....
