NEW FOAL PICS!!

Postby Bondama » Tue Dec 19, 2006 7:44 am

This is TR Hollywood Archangel, a dilute appendix colt born 12-12-06 to a chestnut TB dam, Ria's Little Angel, by a perlino AQHA/APHA stallion, WF Indian Bill (Hollywood bred). He's just Erik around the barn, and as audacious as a little boy can be! These also link to my webshots, so if you want to look at more, help yourself. Enjoy! :D

Too cute! What a shock to see his blond daddy in the last slide. I thought you had trick photography that could fast-forward the lad's development.

clh - Not sure, as she went and did it without me!! I separated her into a private paddock on Saturday night after determining that her mystery lumps were milk ducts that had filled. Sunday night, she was antsy at mealtime when she normally dives right into her feed bucket. Instead it was take a bite and pace, take a bite and pace, etc. She was a little sweaty as well. When I came out at 5:30 the next morning, instead of having one horse at the gate to greet me, I had two!! I missed the whole thing. This wonderful mare had her first baby all alone and did it perfectly....well, except for the retained placenta, but that worked out fine, too. Her dam is expecting as well and should drop right after the first of the year, so that will be the next baby news! Hopefully, I'll be able to be there for that one!

He is soooo adorable! I can't wait for foaling season to begin so I can start squeezing the little buddies  Congratulations again on your very handsome little fella.

Sounds like the perfect foaling to me! Be sorry you missed it but glad you weren't needed in it.

And what a sharp little boy in the photos, latched on like a little expert to his momma's udder. He's a cute skinny baby now but not for much longer. Looks like he's got the feeding thing figured out, even dipping into mamma's water already. He's gonna look more like daddy very soon, I'd bet! Glad he and mom are both well.

Yay, it's foaling season in North America!
