New Filly

Postby cedarbrook » Mon Feb 19, 2007 3:19 pm

Our filly was born at 4:30 AM on Jan 2! She really wanted to cut it close. The mare was not due until Jan 19. Anyway, all went well and we have a beautiful new filly. The mare is Trillion Cazillion and the sire is Just A Devil. The filly is just beautiful. If I could figure out how to post a picture, I would post it for all to see. I think we are going to name her Whole Lotta Heart. She has a heart shape on her forhead and Trillion Cazillion is a whoe lot of something. She is going to be dark bay or black and she is already a bundle of muscles.
Anyway, if anyone can tell me how to post a picture that would be great!

Congrats - Jan 2 is cutting it close!

Gerry is right - you have to download the pictures to photobucket or some other website and then download them from there. Heck, really if I can do it anyone can (I did get help and I had to have help with my avatar though so maybe someone else can give you better instructions - ha)

Again - congrats! I've got a Seattle Slew mare with a heart on her face too! Pretty special looking aren't they?

This is the first race foal I have bred myself. I have a yearling colt that is by my stallion, but I did not breed him. It is exciting to do it yourself. I have been breeding sprot horse foals for many years now, but I have always wanted to try my hand at racing.
The heart on her head is not perfect, but it is close. So far, I really like her. Now I just have a couple of years to wait and watch her grow up!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

I had another one due this April, but the mare is older and she slipped. She also lost her foal last year, so I don't think she will be bred any longer.

Perhaps I should've moved her mane over a little :)[/img]

It is interesting about the heart on your mare also. I wonder if heart shaped marks run in the family?
Your mare looks very interested in what you are doing!
