Our only TB foal of the year

Postby lazyfranch » Sat Mar 17, 2007 9:58 am

I came here last year asking for input for my mare, and was told to take her to an Ice Capade stallion. I just happen to have a friend that became the new owner of Clever Return. We took her to him, and the little filly was born this morning. The idea was to get some bone and strength back on the track. What do you think? Granted, she's not even but an hour old in the standing pictures, but I'm proud!

Thanks for all your input last year!

I'm no conformation expert and I think all babies are cute - but I think she looks pretty nice - long legs and a nice hip - and she'll be one pretty grey - I love greys (except in my own hair of course). Congratulations!!! You must be thrilled and momma looks pretty proud of herself.

I agree, all babies are so cute. She won't be gray though, daddy is dark bay/black and momma is bay. So far concensus is she has that silver that means she is black.

We'll see as she dries and unfolds.

Thanks for your input and congrats!

Congratulations on a very fine looking little filly! I love the starkness of the white blaze on that oh-so-black face!! Pretty girl. Keep us posted as she matures!

I remember that name (Kiss My Asterisk), too. Just can't remember from where. Hmmm...it's gonna bug me now.

Very cute little girl. Congrats! I've always been partial to black! :D

Thanks Y'all. Aster wasn't named until we inherited her, so it had to of been here that you heard of her.

I had asked for input on breeding for her.

The little filly now has a name, it's

Kiss Me Im Clever

Here she is at a week old

awww Thanks! I'm kind of partial to her. lol We bred her to race, but I have quite a few inquiries on her as a sport horse prospect based on her pedigree and build. So we'll see. I've listed her for sale and if she sells into a good home, that's great. Otherwise, if she's still home when it's time, I guess I will own myself a race horse in training
