I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN - MEDALLIST COLT PICTURES ADDED

Postby clh » Sat Mar 17, 2007 10:21 am

I went to KY to see the Lion Heart filly and Cuvee colt and I knew I'd no sooner get home and one of the other mares would foal - they were due but really weren't showing major signs. Don't you know - I got home on Wednesday evening and at 9 pm that night one of the mares had her foal - geez - if I had waited one more day to go down.... Anyhow got a Medallist colt - farm manager said it was small but this mare tends to throw that - she had the Birdstone colt last year - but she throws them nice - bay. Will post a picture once he sends me one.

You are right S - good news is good news - wrong on the day - he was foaled on Thursday when I went to KY not on Wednesday :)

Here's a few pictures - bear in mind he is less than 12 hours old here:

White can of paint? :D Really don't know - here's a picture of Anna K. 8 hours before she foaled - she has a lovely white face ... I really thought the Cuvee baby would be full of chrome since the other babes I've seen of his were full of it - but he ended up looking just like momma.

That cracks me up! We had a bay mare with 3 whites and a stripe bred to a bay stallion with 4 white pasterns and a blaze. Colt was SOLID bay, not one white hair anywhere on him. :)

He is so handsome, congrats on another healthy foal :)

skipitgirl - you'd think the foal had to have some white on him if mom and dad had so much, are you sure another stallion didn't cheat on your mare
