What a lovely filly - and chrome too! Gotta love those Officers. Do you plan on keeping her or selling her or do you know yet? Thanks for sharing the picture.

Thanks--we bred her for either the sales or to race (in that order), but we followed your sales ring escapades at Keeneland  , and she definitely won't be in any of the weanling sales. At this point anything is possible--we have three fillies at the track, so we're not afraid to race her if she doesn't bring what we think she's worth (OK, right now she's priceless :D ) but it's so hard to think about going through the sales process with her! Either way, we get to enjoy her every day--at two and a half weeks old she just beat her mom across the paddock to come in tonight, so if she keeps that up..................

Olga - remember my thread was the January Sale so those foals were "technically" yearlings - short yearlings but yearlings just the same! I would talk to a consignor and see what they think - is there one you trust and have used in the past? PM me if you want my opinions on some ....

Check the sales results and I'm sure you'll see (and I'm going strictly on memory and that sucks alot of the time) but I'm thinking the Officers have done fairly well at the sales.

I'm shooting for November this year and hopefully can by-pass January all together after last year :(

I swear - I'm two and a half hours North and my paddocks totally look like crap! Beautiful pics Olga - she'd be hard to part with for sure. But I have talked to both folks who purchased the "boys" from January. Scrimshaw's owners are in Alberta, Canada and I think they plan on racing him - lovely, lovely people. The Birdstone folks may be re-selling him or keeping him - am not sure. Either way - they are both being taken good care of. I figure since I can't race them yet - all I can hope to do is sell them to someone who will - so I can keep in the game a little longer.

She really is a lovely little lady.
