Sabona x Vincamary

Postby adrienne » Wed Mar 28, 2007 4:14 pm

The current pride of the farm ;)

Vincamary was a cheap weanling that Jim picked up from Keeneland about a million years ago (she's an '85 model). She had the best three year old he ever had (Noble Fortune, who sadly died as a 3 year old), Morning Merry, and Scarlett Mary. She also had MissaMary who produced RoarofVictory and the good 3 year old filly Crimson Mary (who got the winter off and is now at Hawthorne).

She's had two kind of painfully slow Sabona fillies... and finally, after 2 open years at 22 years old... had a positively wonderful colt:

He's a MONTH younger than his nephew (MissaMary's colt) but BIGGER.

Scarlett Mary had a Sabona colt too:

Not as nice as Vincamary's... but he does look JUST like her.

I like them both very much. Love the picture of Scarlet Mary's colt--that suspicious look on his face! :D

Congratulations on a handsome blingy boy. He sure is nice, the filly is too, but you're right, the colt is cuter!!

I have an older Whitesburg mare (23) due any day after 2 years open. Just started bagging up the last couple of days. She's had absolutely NO problems. I love this old girl!!! She's as sweet as sugar cane.
