Just thought I'd share this new photo of my 5-month old colt, Erik. He is standing beside his mama at a 4.5 foot fence....and she is a 17-hander. Just to give you an idea of his size...

He is shedding out right now, FINALLY, and you can see the color underneath looking down the side of his neck. Such a pretty deep gold. He's finally ready to find a new home <sigh>. Heartbreaking because he was our first, but I knew from the get-go that I wasn't keeping any boys, so the mind wins.
His dam is Ria's Little Angel, a Whitesburg granddaughter. She is back in foal for a full sibling to the pictured colt.

Not real sure at this point, but when I bred his parents, I had in my mind "jumper". Only thing I can't really see him doing is barrels - I just really think he'll be too tall. His personality is such that he ought to be very trainable. He's smart a a whip, but sweet as pie.
