June update on 2007 foals with PICTURES

Postby henthorn » Mon Jun 04, 2007 6:48 pm

I visited Little River Farm near Versailles, KY this week and took pictures of those who would cooperate. Only one wanted to pose for me and that was Spanish Guitar's April 25 NY-bred filly by Prime Timber named Opening Number. Here's her photos of June 1st at five weeks of age. She has a funny little cowlick midline below her eye level and no white on her. Nice filly, lots of bone.

Hop to It's April 11th KY-bred colt by Vicar is much less cooperative. All he wanted to do was drink, drink, drink, and all Hop wanted was to eat, eat, eat. Here's Busy Season: You can see how much he takes after his dam in facial markings.

First of the season's foals was this little guy pictured at five days: He has now grown up and lost the novelty effect, and has become difficult to photograph. His name is Agent Red, February 16th OK-bred colt by Vicar out of Shake On It.

I'll fill you all in later on the trip itself. It was hot and drought conditions, in the 90's every day. These fields look great, but won't for much longer.
