well, I was supposed to be home, but was delayed numerous times. So PJ finally foaled the night before I got my trainers license in KY, so she is destined to win the Oaks 3 years from now. I hear she has an awesome blaze and a sock up to the bottom of her hock, her 2yo full sister will be tearing up Keeneland this fall, I ca't wait.

Thanks to my good friend Trish at The Dish for a great celebratory meal and wine, following a nice and early foaling.

Congratulations on your new filly! What's her 2YO sister's name?

the 2yo is named The H is O (short for The Heat is On), after a Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell SNL Short about Glen Frey from the Eagles. I can't wait to get her on the go, but she will have to be up in Canada until after KEESept, she just went through a big growth spurt so I'm taking my time with her.

We are still dominated by fillies. 12-3 with 9 more to go (I think), the best we could do is a tie.

Lovely! Best of luck with the 2YO!

Thanks, I will have the 3yo 1/2 by Century City (bought in utero) at Keeneland with me next week. Stop by my barn and say hi (I can let you or anyone else who wants to stop by know where they stick me), once I get down there and set up, I will also be running a training barn at a farm very close to Kee. This mare wasn't a world beater, but is from a decent (consistant winning) family, and always throws a great looking foal. She is 15.1 at best and always throws big good looking babies, at only 9 years old, I expect her to be nice shortly (since I have her next 2 foals and her 1st is doing ok), even better is that she is 4 times in foal on 4 covers...gotta love those mares.

Farms I have talked to all say the same thing, this year is heavily weighted on the fillys. I can't imagine why that would be. Last year, a farm I know had 24 mares for a large client... they produced 23 fillys. Something is not right. Uncanny.

Anyway, LOVE the shots Ascot... you even got a "4 off the floor" shot, at such an early age. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing them...
