Impeachment-Stylize (Shananie), filly *pics*

Postby AscotStud » Sun May 24, 2009 4:40 pm

Our foaling season finally ended early Saturday morning, when Stylize foaled a nice filly 3 weeks late. That brings our total for the year to 17-4 fillies over the colts. That also brings the mares record to 11-2 fillies, the only colts was an 11 time winner and the 2yo at Keeneland with me, hopefully he can win 11 too.

Love Shananie mares. I was the underbidder on one this past fall. Unfortunately she was landed by some overseas buyers.

That's a good family behind the filly as well. Congrats.

thanks ASB,

She was the first mare Chris and I ever bought, for a whopping $1k in foal to Testimonial. I always wanted to try her with Marquetry, but her produce record before we got her didn't justify a trip to KY, even though she was bred to some less than stellar horses. The 2yo by Tejano Run has been bouncing around the training track at Keeneland with his training wheels on the past few days. And here are a few shots of the foals yearling full sister last weekend. We are going to sell off a few shares in her and I will be taking her to Arkansas with me this winter to hopefully get ready for KEE or WO early next year.

That last foal shot is stunningly beautiful.
