I am still waiting. Both mares are at the foaling farm, which offers 24 hour monitoring. At last report they were "enjoying the hospitality".

Finally! Saturday about 11:30 am we were blessed with a Sun King filly. I am trying to get some quality photos to post. One down, one to go.

Cunningly 2010 foal

Postby springboro » Mon Feb 08, 2010 9:50 am

He arrived about 3 hours ago. Not mine anymore, but since I planned the breeding and kept the mare until about 3 weeks ago, I feel ok in announcing his birth!

Grey colt with a star (pictures forthcoming)

By the Fu Peg son Killenaule, out of the Lit de Justice mare Cunningly. Cunningly also has a two year old Andromeda's Hero filly.

AND.. this foal was due back in January. I seem to get the mares that hang on to the very end. Her last breeding date was Feb 14. It almost is the norm for my mares to go almost a full year!

Last one due any day too... from the maiden Seaven Teares. She's carrying a Hap foal.

Here is Staria's - Any Given Saturday filly, one day old! She is set back at her rear pasterns, as you can see... so they will keep her in the stall for a week or so, till they toughen up. Staria is so grey, amazed that all she throws is chestnuts!!!!!

apparently a combo of little sleep and some extra manure caused a misreading of sex on our little fella.... The Cunningly foal this year is feminine... a FILLY!!!

What a big filly too! We thought he was a good sized colt, but this makes a super filly!

Our Wimbledon colt arrived about 11:00 pm last night in the midst of a record snow storm. I am trying to figure out how to get the pictures from the phone to the PC :?.

Congrats to all the new parents! Looks like foaling season is just starting to heat up a bit (even if the weather isn't doing the same).
