Who will have the first PQ foal of 2010?

Postby Roguelet » Mon Jan 11, 2010 5:32 am

Mine aren't due until later, THANK GOODNESS... not a fan of foaling in the ice and snow and below 0 temps... no, thank you!

So, does anyone have any foals yet? Who will be the first?

Our first two are due in mid-February so I doubt that we'll be first. but I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's pictures! :)

I have two mares due in Jan. Mare 1 was last covered by Wimbledon on 2/19, mare 2 was last covered by Sun King on 2/23.

We have two due in the next week or two, Masseuse's Bernardini foal and Entendu's Hard Spun foal. I saw them yesterday and they're both about the size of tanks right now. I'm pretty sure the second it gets slightly warmer in KY, that should do the trick. :-)

Only have 1 due in January and from what I was told from the previous owner, she only goes long. So I'm pretty sure I'm out of the running.

Safe foaling everyone.

The first one we have due is also a Hard Spun. Our other February mare is carrying a Street Boss.

Good luck everyone!

LB, indeed I do finally have news! Entendu had her Hard Spun filly last night, and she and baby appear to be in good health. I'll post a picture once I have one!

One mare down, two to go any day now!

Thanks all! I actually think we just doubled down today, with a colt born to our mare Street Sharp by Perfect Soul. He's a NY bred, and hopefully will find his niche running turf races against some other cheaper-level horses. Masseuse still appears to be a couple of days away, but should be very soon. Maybe just after the arctic blast!
