Born at 3 am Sunday morning, chestnut colt, up and nursing within 1/2 hour. This is the mare that was due on February 22, so we are glad it's finally over! Here are early am pictures, will post some more when I actually get over to see him. We're going to call him 'Patch' for now because of the marking above his right eye.

Congratulations! I love the big white face.

A mare where our broodmares live also went a month over this year. She finally had a nice colt, but it's very hard on the (human) nerves to wait that long for them to deliver. :)

Patch is so cute :D That is a long time to wait though. I was stressed having to wait 13 days this year :o Congratulations Maureen!

Here are some more pictures of Patch, taken this afternoon when I finally got to meet him in person. We figure he's about 140#, and stands 11:1h, and those legs are long!

Here are some pictures of 'Patch', taken today at 2-1/2 months. He is a gorgeous boy, if we may brag! He is very independent, but, thankfully, well behaved. Everytime we look at him we think of the pictures and the descriptions we are going to have to do to get him registered!
