Stormin Fever Filly

Postby vallygirl927 » Fri Mar 25, 2011 2:47 pm

My mare Stitch N Run foaled a leggy filly by Stormin Fever sometime this morning! She was a surprise! Mare only carried her to 325 days, so she was 15 days early! I'm thankful everything went well and mom and baby are healthy.

CONGRATULATIONS!

You have hit the jackpot with a mare who carries 325 days. You can hope for a foal every year with the season not creeping away so that you end up with one June foal followed by an empty year. I LOVE those early type mares. I have one mare who carries 370 days and it is aggravating.

Congrats! Please have her talk to GiGi, both her mother and grandmother never foaled early and some carried 30 days over!

Congrats to you and your mare :) Glad to hear mom and filly are doing well! Definitely need to see pics now. I agree with Madelyn, it's wonderful when you are able to gain some time with them.

My mare is at 353 days today and I have another one due this monday, she will also go over.

Lovely little lady. Is she going to be gray?

Nope, she shouldn't be. Dam and sire are both bays.

Boy, none of my bay babies ever had that dark of a face! Good luck with her!

Well Stormin Fever is a dark bay, nearly black. That's probably the color she'll shed out to. We'll find out here in a few months!
