Will see where he is at the end of the summer and decide from there. The plan had always been to keep/race him but that was when hubby was alive so I have to be realistic and either put together a racing syndicate or look at a two year old in training sale.

Good luck with whichever you decide. Racing him would be a lot of fun for you - we have the best time at the track racing our own. Selling them is tough - not only because you don't always get the price you want or need but it is tough to see them leave when you get attached to them and I always got attached to mine.

He's 800 miles away from me, if he were close by it would probably be different! I've been realistic about this since I won that season, honestly while I would love to go see him run and win in silks I've not created yet, it would be AS rewarding to have him run for someone else. It's my name that is on his registration paper and no matter what he goes on to do, that will never change. Putting him through a sale as a yearling was never going to be part of the plan, but if Nobiz gets off the mark with some runners this year, it could be worthwhile to send this colt to a sale this time next year. I certainly can't tell you what's right and what's wrong with him, just what I like and don't like and since he changes a lot, all I can say now is that he's growing really nicely and what I had expected him to have he does.

I went to see Nobiz at Crestwood and he looks great. They mentioned he's got a good number of mares this year too which is helpful!

Now if you asked me what I'd LIKE to do overall, the answer would be to sell his dam who's in foal and use that money to put towards his training.

Then I would sell the mare and put that money towards his training and racing ;).

I am dying to see his pics! I love following the development of the foals. I couldn't imagine being 1 mile away from mine! :P I hope whatever you chose to do with him turns out better than you expected!

Happy Birthday, Earthly Delights.
He needs to learn how to stand still instead of fidgeting like my brother!

I'm sure once you tell me I will remember, but who did you send GiGi to? Did she get in foal? So.... what have you decided to do with this young man? Keep him and race him or sell him ?

She's in foal to Artie Schiller and due around 1/24. She got in foal in one cover this time.

I will try to race him with some partners.

I sold a mare in foal to Artie, so I of course like him :).

Good luck racing him Tap, you'll have the time of your life!

The Artie Schiller foal will be called GARDENS OF BABYLON.
