Boy he's growing fast too! His face looks so mature like you are already able to see the handsome horse he will become!
Hope mom is doing good too!! :D

He was weaned and all mom cared about was where her buddies were. He has his own buddy, who is a day younger than he is. Hopefully I'll get new pictures in another 10 days or so.

Her knee is healing which is the most important thing. Either she is really lucky that she only hurt her knee when she skidded or I am because it could have ended really badly.

Tap, he's growing up to be quite the boy. I can see why you are so very proud of him!

I'm supposed to spoil my first born from afar... with two good looking parents he should grow up to be okay. I had not seen him since July so I was not sure what to expect. He thinks his paddock mates are their to play with HIM and there's not much he won't do to get their attention including grabbing a hold of their halter.

It's a Boy Thing. They all think halter tag is the best game in the world. :)

Good to know that's normal  now when the next colt arrives none of the antics will surprise me. This is one reason why I am glad they are not down the street from me, what I don't see can't worry me.

Just cross your fingers that they don't start playing the "I'll chew your tail if you'll chew my tail off" game. That one totally sucks ;).

Oh he does that too  and nips at the back of their legs. He likes to boss the others around... I suggested giving him a ball to play with and maybe he won't go bothering them when he's bored

Well if the chewing of the tails gets too bad, someone better tie them up or spray them or they won't have any tail left, especially if someone plans on selling any yearlings this year :). It takes forever for tails to grow back!

They are all okay... I looked! None should be going to any sales this year. Each one is checked out thoroughly in the morning when they are brought in for a few hours. He's a big sleeper, just like my husband was! I suspect he's plotting what else he can do out in the field. Little does he know what his future will entail.

What are your plans with this guy Tap? Are you selling him? Racing him?
