2012 - Bookings

Postby Tappiano » Mon Jan 02, 2012 1:35 pm

What do fellow forum members have planned for their mares this year?

My mare is going to Artie Schiller. She is not in foal for this year since she bled into her uterine wall while delivering Earthly Delights this past year. Although nothing more than a gigantic bruise or hematoma her health is more important than anything else so the decision was made to leave her open.

I was offered a free breedback to Nobiz and I had also considered Holy Bull, but I'm really happy with how Artie's done and out of all the El Prado stallions out there, he's my favorite.

I really like Artie Schiller. I hope that breeding is a great and safe one for you.

We're all booked up.

Good choice, Madelyn! Albertus is bred very similar to my Duke!

Zahrah - I can't wait to see that MM x Nuts foal!

From your mouth to God's ears... she's taken over a year to clean out since she was left open and sucking air before we bought her. That cross excites me so much and if it's a filly, I'll dance in the streets!

The egg has left the crate, the countdown is on for GiGi!

And the countdown is on for one of Zahrah's mare's too! Crossing fingers we both have good news in two weeks.

Sunday was an active day in Lexington.

Ha! Thanks! This coming week Consider It Done will hopefully visit Unbridled's Song. It would be nice to get the two empty mares out of the way and preggers quickly.

Edit: Just remembered Nuts About Mom is empty too. Hopefully ol' girl will be quick with a follicle as well.

I'm down to a single mare now who will hopefully foal soon. She's booked to Scat Daddy.

Sysonby, I was hoping to breed Lastful Appeal to Smoke Glacken last year after I had to retire her, since her half brother (Smoked Em) was a hell of a hard knocker by him, but got no love from Gainsway so I went elsewhere. Good luck with your foal.

Thanks! SG has a quite a few hard knockers to his credit which was part of the attraction.

Who gets any love at all from Gainesway? They sued an old pal of mine on a barren mare and still pursued "costs" after we produced the barren certificate (which they had in fact lost). It cost my pal $750 to make them go away. When I spoke with a honcho there and told her that the mare came to my farm with no foal and why would I lie - she told me that in her experience, "all mare owners lie...." They could have the actual winged horse there and I would not darken their doorway with a horse trailer...

thats why they are not a top stud farm. No customer service at all!

We have a Kitten's Joy mare (bred 2/21) to Street Cry
Holding for this weekend to
Lookin At Lucky
Super Saver
Discreetly Mine

Our farm owns the dam of ReneesGotZip and she is running 3/2 in the G1 Las Virgenes. Maybe City Zip can open up one more spot for a G1 producer.. but who knows.
