Taylor's Hope x Rock and Roll Big Strapping Filly

Postby secretlink » Mon Feb 06, 2006 8:30 am

I just got word that Taylor had a HUGE filly last night at 10:10 in the evening. Everyone is healthy and they couldn't stop talking about how big this girl is! Chestnut with three white socks and a star, I should get pictures this afternoon and I will try to post them. At home I have Taylors 2005 Desert Warrior colt and we could not be happier. He was foaled on 2/7/05 and stands 14.3 with his rump growing again. He will go to the sales this August. She is closer to me this year, just 2 hours away, so we will get to go visit them during their 90 days in NY. We are thinking of sending her to Prime Timber this year. I cant wait for pics! :D :D

Congrats! :D
(and yay—another fellow New Englander on the forum!)

Could you post both dam/sire names, please? I don't think I saw them in your post...??

Taylor's Music Box, Hope is the Cure, Stop the Devil, On My Mark, Chantilly Lace (not sure if that last one's allowable but it's the title of a song by the Big Bopper if memory serves---I hate the song myself but the name's nice)

That's me in the wee hours...there's a classic name here, I can smell it but I'm sleepy so maybe others can get that one or two that are on the tip of my tongue. The words in the pedigree are ripe for something juicy. I hope we can uncover the gem that I just know is there.

Any way we can see pics? I love looking at babies! :)

We are trying for Seraphin due to the double Halo, dont know if i will go through... Also having a heck of a time naming my colt from last year. Taylors Hope x Desert Warrior (Deputy Minister/Navajo Pass/Secretariat) Help there would be appreciated. He is Bright chestnut with a star-connected narrow blaze-snip combination and one white sock. Bulldog build like mom (people ask if he is a QH all the time. 14.3 born 1 year ago today) :D

I would love to see a pic of your Desert Warrior colt, our 3/4 sister to Say Florida Sandy is due to Desert Warrior in about 3 weeks. Hope she has a big healthy colt, and he gets big like your boy!
