She's by Mr. P and the dam of Shadwell stallion Intidab. She's listed for $700. Someone go get her and give her a wonderful forever home?

And she is directly out of Mr Prospector no less. That must have hurt.

:D Laurierace... of course they mean she is BY Mr. Prospector. According to the ad, she is also in foal, but they don't mention a covering stallion. If anyone out there gets this mare and wants to bring her to Rocking Trick, we could make you a fantastic deal, provided she is breeding sound....

That would probably be one of their fine stallions: Squirrel's Lucky Larry or Sunrise Salty Ranger. No doubt she will be in foal and used her last egg being snake bit by one of those fine specimens.

poor dear, looks to me like she might have cushings and deserves a dignified retirement. Seems like a perfect candidate for Our Mims.

In case anyone hasn't looked at the ad lately, check it out, we have changed the way she advertises!
COPIED AND PASTED FROM AD
""Alqwani:
-Really people? (pedigreequery people), grow up a little, if you have something to say about the way we do things give me an email and we can talk about it, gossip is what our family did in high school! She is BY Mr. Prospector (my bad). Alqwani is in better shape now, she got thin over the winter as did three or four of our others, they are fattening up nicely but its not as easy since they are older! I'm sure you would understand that since you seem to know it all. ""

Ouch!

Good lord, grow a thicker skin. We could have been a hell of a lot harsher but instead decided to poke a little fun at a sad situation. I agree wholeheartedly with the Our Mims suggestion.

for the record, I never meant this as a slight to the farm. I just think that Shadwell or someone might want to know that she's available for a low amount.

I did think some of the comments were a bit snarky, but I just want the old girl to find a good home.

Actually, although the photo wasn't the best, the mare really did look pretty textbook for Cushing's. That's nothing to be ashamed of. It's not an uncommon condition for an older horse. (Did John Henry have it? I can't recall off the top of my head.)

Assuming her owner is still tuned into this thread, I'd respectfully encourage them to get her checked for that if they haven't already.

Strictly out of curiosity where is the picture of this mare? I didn't see it on the equinenow ad, and couldn't find it on her website.

You can't see her very well, but looks like her name is above the horse on the left in this ad:

Ugh, 11 mares all bred. Bred to what? Wish I was in the market, looks like all 3 in that pic could use some weight.
