What is your opinion of Saxifraga (b. 1992) as a sale prospect for broodmare?

Dependent entirely on where you and the mare are located, she may have a little value. There is some modest black type in the family. My '03 APR shows her last foal as a 2000 filly by Mr. Stutter. It would be to her detriment, though, if that is true, because the mare is 13. Also, she and her family are not being bred to quality stallions. I would pass.

I currently own Saxifraga, and we're located in New York. I'm considering selling her and was trying to get a consesus as to what she may be valued at for a broodmare.

With all due respect, I would say she has minimal dollar value-perhaps one to two thousand.

No problem. I'm not offended. I purchased her 2 years ago because she has a great personality and is an absolutely beautiful horse. I wasn't thinking about her breeding value at all. I bought her for riding the trails only, but she kicked the wall of our run in shed trying to fend off one of our geldings and tore the skin on a hind leg. She's mended now, but I don't want to put her to work, so I decideded I want to sell her.

If anyone is interested in a beautiful horse with a loving personality, she's for sale. Respond to this post and I will get back to you if interested.

I'm asking $600.00 for her.
