Nice Mutiple Stakes Placed Mare for sale...

Postby Willtowin » Tue Oct 12, 2004 12:20 pm

Mare for sale: O U Bet, 99, m, by Is It True - Shes A Maniac by Magesterial.

O U Bet is a very nice mare! She is well put together and has a level head. She raced through this year and showed tremendous heart. Since she has been such a wonderful horse to us we feel it is time that she is retired from racing and is able to settle into a nice life as a broodmare. She's a tall mare, between 16.3 to 17.1 (have never officially measured her but she is HUGE!). Her ½ sister produced an Iowa bred champion. Asking $25,000 for her. She's worth every penny of that! If anyone has any more questions just let me know. Thanks! :D

Well I think she is expensive for what she is worth. Her sire produced Yes its True only, who has better race record than him. But all others are far from their sire. The dams have poor race records and progeny too I mean not so impressiv. Why she is so much?

I agree Waternymph. Not saying she isn't a nice horse and her race record is commendable, however, her immediate family isn't going to entice buyers to pay the money to make up for the purchase price they are askingl. Heck, for alot cheaper you can find a mare with G1 producers in their families....The market just isn't booming for broodmares nowadays...25K is asking way too much IMO...10K might be more reasonable....
