Cutting back on breeding, and so selling this perfectly nice broodmare and perhaps her 2006 colt. There is no other reason for selling the mare - she has produced two nice foals so far - the first by Desert Warrior- and she'll probably end up being a stakes producer simply because I'm selling her!

The mare's name is Lipstick Kiss. She's a 1998 model, about 16hh with well balanced conformation, and built like a quarterhorse - stocky with good bone. The pedigree is interesting, as she has both Monarchy and Round Table in the 4th generation, with a Mr. P sire line and Hail to Reason dam sire line. She has good ground manners, good for farrier, no nasty habits and has no health issues that I'm aware of. This year on April 10 she foaled a very nice colt by Mayakovsky. Because the foal was so nice, she was bred back to Mayakovsky on May 23rd, and should have a late April foal in 2007. She apparently is pleasant to ride, though I haven't tried so can't vouch for it (but she is healthy and sound).

I'm open to offers, but I think this would be an attractive breed to race package at 5K for the mare in foal (and NG stud fee paid), and her 2006 colt.

Would sell the mare (in foal, NG stud fee paid) alone for just 3K if my partnership can be given 1/2 breeder credit (not half ownership) in your state breeding program for the 2007 foal. If she is not in foal, I'd sell her for just 1.5K as a riding/broodmare. Will board the mare free until weaning, if mare is bought without 2006 Mayakovsky colt.

Would sell the 2006 Mayakovsky colt alone for 2.5K at weaning.

A previous sale fell through because of communication delays, and I'd be happy to consider some sort of deal/financing/foal sharing etc. to any serious and responsible buyer to complete the sale. Photos are below. If link does not work, I'll repost.

Hi Chris,

Yes I do - are you able to view the pictures on the link above? )I ask, because I am able to, but not sure if anyone else can!) There are a few pics of the colt. I'll take a few more and post them - but if you have trouble viewing them, send me your email address by PM, and I'll send them to you that way.
Thanks for your interest!

Mare in foal to Mayakovsky - price reduction!

Postby hurleynyc » Sat Nov 25, 2006 1:39 pm

Mr. Prospector line mare, "Lipstick Kiss", now only $1,750! Due in April, 2007 to Mayakovsky, stud fee paid. She's fat, sassy and healthy, currently boarded near Hudson NY and looking for a nice new home. Creative financing or trades possible. If interested, please PM me.
