Postby BargainBlueblood » Wed Nov 10, 2004 7:47 am

Look Up 1991 Mare (Gold Crest x Astrology Miss, Cornish Prince) Stands at 15.3 hands, a very good-looking gal. Look Up was a winner of 2 races from 12 starts, and she earned $28,229; she is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner/Grade 3-placed TIPSY GIRL ($285,817). Under second dam Astrology Miss, you’ll find six-figure-earning, black-type runners SEARCH FOR LUV ($322,158), LT PEARLE ($170,714), LT ROBERTS ($135,217), Easy Action ($149,840), Canaan Land ($104,780), Fresh Tracks ($171,418), Judge Smiles ($131,158), The Sewickley Kid ($105,200) and Superfines Luvey ($106,795). Look Up is the dam of 3 foals, 2 to race, 2 winners: Looking for a Way (by Chief Honcho) who has 8 wins to 2004 and earnings of $60,432, plus Fitzgerald (by Ordway), a winner at 2 of $31,924. Her third foal is a yearling by Radio Star. Look Up is currently in foal to Deputy Minister’s stakes-placed son, Desert Warrior, and sells for $3,000 (all stud fees paid).

Farolino 1996 Mare (Trempolino x Far Out Beast, Far Out East) This is a very nice looking mare, 15.3 hands. She is a daughter of Grade 1 multiple stakes winner FAR OUT BEAST ($355,140) and by an exceptional broodmare sire (Trempolino’s daughters have produced 18 stakes winners to date, including champion Action This Day). Farolino is a half-sister to Offshore Storm ($169,033). Farolino is the dam of winner Far Out Babe ($19,658 to the end of 2003), a Zamindar 2-year-old filly, and a Radio Star weanling. She sells in foal to very popular NY stallion, stakes winner/grade 1-placed Wheelaway for $5,000 (all stud fees paid).

Proper Gal 1997 Mare (Star Gallant x Proper Girl, Proper Proof) Unraced mare. Full-sister to stakes winner OUR GIRL NESSA ($125,998) and half-sister to stakes winner ROMANTIC GIRL ($197,052) and stakes-placed Appropriately ($210,052), as well as Matthew W ($111,416) and Romantique ($43,800). Second dam Proper Girl was also a stakes producer, getting stakes winners FATHER DON JUAN ($222,036) and ALL MY GIRLS ($98,079). Sells in foal to the nicely bred Deputy Cat, a son of Deputy Minister. Priced at $1,500, all fees paid.

Joes Luck 1996 Mare (Star Gallant x She's My Luck, What Luck) Unraced full sister to He’s My Lucky Star ($37,012). Dam is a half-sister to stakes-placed Lead Me To Gold ($121,466) as well as Leading Appeal ($88,970). Sells in foal to New York’s #18 sire, Gold Token, whose foals have earned a whopping $1,124,783 in 2004 alone (through 11/9/04). This mare is available for $1,000 or best offer, all fees paid. The foal she is carrying alone should be worth much more than that!

Where are these mares located? I might be interesed in Proper Gal and Joes Luck. Will this be their first foal? When are they do and can you email me pictures please? What is the possibility of a package price on these mares? The two I mentioned and all 4 of them? Thanks

Michael, I'd also like to see the pics and know the locations.

(Probably far, far away. *sigh*)

All four mares are located in NY.

Proper Gal and Joes Luck are owned by the same farm, and they would most likely consider a package deal on the twosome, so don't be afraid to make an offer. Neither of these mares has had a registered foal before, although the owner thinks one of them may have had an unregistered foal that went to a riding home a couple years back; the farm manager is investigating. I am working on getting photos...hopefully by the weekend.

Joes Luck was covered by Gold Token on 5/5/04, and she's due 4/10/05. The vet came and checked her yesterday.

Unfortunately, Proper Gal is no longer in foal, according to the vet. The good news is they will probably be willing to come down a little on price on her as a result.

Do you have any pictures of Joes Luck?

Hi Michael,

Do you have any pictures of Joes Luck? I would be interested in the foal she is carrying and the mare but I am definitely interested in seeing her conformation. I see she is line bred Bold Ruler and Double Jay. Thanks,

Keith
