New Additions - Finger Lakes Race Track - Meet Closing 11/27

Postby Marli » Sun Nov 21, 2004 3:39 pm

Traveled to the Finger Lakes Race Track yesterday and took several new listings. The meet is closing Nov. 27th and there are many, many outstanding individuals in need of new homes and careers! Trainers prices listed ARE negotiable so don't hesitate to phone!

Listed 2 very nice looking fillies-

Gram's Girl and Off Track Firstcat.

For those interested in odd coloring, Off Track Firstcat is a liver chestnut w/white stockings and some major white roaning down over her rump and flank area. Gram's Girl is a 4 y/o filly that's built like a TANK - nice broad chest and deep girth line.

Marli,

I cant find any Grams Girl...except a 1966 model. I even checked JC registry. Any other ideas for her name?

Shoot! Gram's Girl was the name we were given and I know our picture volunteer asked twice - guess I'm gonna have to call and inquire as I hate when the names aren't correct! I will say though, that this filly is put together and very nice. The darned pictures just do nothing for any of them - they're just so much nicer in person! :)

Monicabee-

Just phoned the trainer to see if this could be her - similar, just a tad different! Graemes Gal is the one!

Marli - I'll share my secret... The brisnet.com online names database is useful when you are uncertain as to spelling - it will come up with a lot of similar names, though it doesn't give you gender.

http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/static.cgi/static.cgi?page=names

Especially with the um... "innovative" spellings and concatenation (stringingtogetherofwords) in racehorse names I use it a lot

But I see she isn't actually the same horse as the one whose name I posted. Always good to doublecheck the info.

I am curious about her, hope someone posts the APR for you!
